At the completion of the programme the employer can request a certificate of completion for each NQSW they have assessed as passing the ASYE programme.
We’re working with the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), to offer funding to the employers of adults social workers.
Important updates - Continued DHSC funding for adult social care learning, development and the ASYE programme
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has confirmed that funding for adult social care learning and development will continue into the 2026/27 financial year.
As part of this investment, DHSC has also announced the continuation of funding for the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) for newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) in adult social care. Up to £2.3 million has been designated to support employers across the statutory, private, voluntary, and independent sectors to deliver high‑quality support during a social worker’s first year in practice.
Funding for the ASYE is available to NQSWs who achieved their qualification within four years of applying. Eligible employers will receive a per‑person funding amount, which will vary depending on the organisation’s size and structure.
From 2026/27, ASYE funding will be administered by the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) on behalf of DHSC. This represents a shift from previous years, when funding for the scheme was administered by 番茄社区.
